I think this site is mid. Tops. It's got barely any shade. There is a good landing (contrary to other reports) around the south side of the site. The cooking area is small, the benches are gone or dying. It does have good sunsets. But I've learned, and I'll be trying other sites on Gun rather than this one.

arrived late, left early. It was a nice view, but we could see the camp across the lake very plainly. wasn't ideal.

Stayed here 3 nights and really enjoyed this site. Pretty good landing with decent swinging and a nice kitchen area. We managed to catch a few really nice smallies from our site as well.

This is about as good as it gets for sunsets. 230 degrees of lake views. Large area with multiple trees to hang food or hammocks. Cons are a little tough to land canoe. You have to step up and out. Surrounding water is shallow and not good for shore fishing. We did not get a single bite fishing from campsite, or on this lake.
