This campsite is tucked back in a quiet bay with no campsites especially close by, so it should feel fairly private. The site sits in a pine grove with a lot of red and white pines, and the ground is covered in pine duff, giving it a classic Boundary Waters feel.
The landing is a narrow sandy-gravel area. It is shallow, so getting in and out is pretty easy, though it is not wide enough to parallel park the canoe.
The kitchen is raised about eight feet above the water and has a decent, somewhat screened view of the lake through trees along the shoreline. The main tenting area is down a trail under large red and white pines. It is a very large, mostly flat area, but only one spot there is truly good; the rest have some slant, roots, or unevenness.
There is another good tent pad in the main camp area, giving the site two good tent pads and five maximum tent pads. I really liked the big pine grove and the overall feel of this site, especially if you only need a couple of tents.

Stopped to stretch our legs after a long time fishing for Lake Trout. Decent site back in the small bay, with a good landing, nice kitchen, and flat area for a couple of tents. Didn't stay overnight, but got some pictures.
