The landing for this campsite is a smooth, gently sloping rock, and there are numerous places along the shore where canoes could pull out. It could accommodate multiple canoes at a time, so the landing is very easy. From there, it is a gentle incline up to the kitchen, which is set back from the water about 50 feet but still has a good view into the bay. Jack pines line much of the shoreline, and there is a spruce behind the campsite. I found three good tent pads and four maximum tent pads. The good pads were a little soft and on dirt, and even though it had been dry, they still felt slightly soft, so they may get muddy in wetter conditions. The campsite feels fairly spread out and large, with a trail that loops around the back and leads to one or two tent pads. Overall, this is a practical, average campsite with an easy landing and decent space.

Good site, some good hammock options. Firewood is slim pickings, back in the woods there were some standing dead birch that was not all rotten yet. With the lake to your back, there will be a small stand of trees just beyond the kitchen and to the right. In the trees, I placed a trail cam to catch any nighttime visitors. We departed in a rainstorm, and I forgot the trail cam!

Trickiest part of this portage is navigating through the rocks immediately after the portage into Ima. The bay is nicely protected from most winds and a peaceful spot. Canoe landing is good. Site is a bit open with less tree cover (a good thing in bug season). Kitchen good.

muddy lake bottom/approach but a nice campsite with good hammock spots. Lovely private bay for relaxing and a little fishing, though I caught nothing when I was here

Great campsite on a small private lake. Water is a bit yellow, but seemed fine filtered.
