The site itself was great, which is why I gave it a 4 star rating. However be aware, that this year, there is a yellow jacket nest in the cedar tree on the left side of camp when facing the camp from the water. This is the most natural landing for your canoe. There is also a large paper wasp nest above the fire grate.
Both nests were easy enough to avoid and didn't pose a problem we just had to be mindful of them. That said, I could also see someone getting stung by not being aware of these nests, especially the yellow jacket nest.

Awesome site with a great sunset (July). Good fishing in the lake - right from shore. Kitchen was good - some of the logs are getting a bit older.

Expect mud in a wet year. Poor landing. Site has level tent pads but they're relatively close to the fire pit. Would not recommend.
