It worked but not the best. Hard to pull the canoe in here with the large rocks all around. once in there is only one "parking spot" for one or two canoes max. Lot of fresh cut trees with lots of debris around. We cleaned up and spend a lot of time chopping up the brush left laying all over. Thunder box was freshly moved, lots of mud around it. Lot of deer prints. Cooking grate had a great view, but terrible seating. (loved the way the rocks were stacked made for extra prep area and we dried our boots on the side. Logs had a lot of knots and branch spots that would poke you in the back side, very uncomfortable. Cooking area sloped down hill. No good areas next to the fire to set up chairs or sit. Couple of large pine trees made for a nice situation to hang the bear barrel from. One tent pad in a grassy spot, and one on a rocky spot behind the fire. Trail led off way behind the campsite that we explored a bit. Lot of uphill climbing from the shoreline, would have been very slippery in the rain. We spent two nights here, nice views and nice breeze.

Stayed at this site for 2 nights. No good spot for landing given large spaced rocks. Overall, the site is long and narrow running uphill. There is a small flat area for the kitchen. One good flat tent pad. Others are sloped/rocky. Latrine was on a well worn path and well placed. It would be a shaded area in the Summer.
