This is a pretty scenic campsite with a really nice landing. The landing is sandy and gravelly, with a few places where you can pull up, and it would probably be a nice swimming area as well.
The kitchen is a little odd because the fire grate is set on a sloping rock instead of a flat spot. If it had been moved slightly, it seems like it could have been on level ground, so I am not sure why it was placed there. Because of the slope, there is not much seating around the fire grate, and logs would probably just roll downhill.
The tent pads are much better. There are three large, flat, grassy tent pads, and you could probably fit a fourth tent in another area if needed. Around the kitchen there is not much shade, but there is plenty of shade in other parts of the peninsula, with trails going in several directions. The site has a mix of red pines, jack pines, spruce, balsam, aspen, and brush.
Overall, I thought it had a nice setting and would work especially well for a group that wants good tent pads and an easy landing.

Stopped here for a break. Wide open site - very little shade, and it was really hot! Great spot for swimming and watching the multitude of canoes go by.
