This is an excellent campsite and felt similar in quality to campsite 1234. The landing is okay, with two main options.
One landing on the north side of the peninsula is a steep sloping rock, which could be tricky if wet. The other landing is at the tip of the peninsula, where the canoe can pull into a kind of parking stall between two rocks. Neither landing is perfect, but both work. The entire campsite is on a peninsula, so it may get breezy or windy, which could be good or bad depending on the conditions. It would likely help keep bugs away. The site has enough shade, with a lot of jack pines and a few cedars around. The views are the real highlight. Since the site sits on a peninsula, there are expansive views all around the lake, including the cliffs to the north.
There are three good tent pads and six maximum tent pads. One main pad appears to be the most used and is definitely the flattest. Two other pads have a few lumps or rocks but are still good, and there are three additional places where tents could go if needed. I expected the latrine trail to be longer because of the peninsula setting, but it was only about average length. Overall, this is a very nice site with great views, good shade, and plenty of tenting options.

The landing was a little tricky due to the gently sloping wet/icy rock that fades into the water, other than that the site amenities were as they should be and there was a couple of places to set up a hammock. Very sheltered from most anything but an East wind and a great place to watch the sunrise. Tons of crayfish of all sizes at the shore, plenty of beaver cut wood for fires on the shores.

Nice site; good "front room" on point with room for large tent. Good respite from bugs during one of the more buggy trips. Decent kitchen. Biffy a bit full. Students we took for first time loved it.
