The landing at this site is rocky but wide, so I was able to parallel park the canoe next to shore and get out. From there, it is a short climb up to the campsite. The whole site is fairly rocky, with rocks scattered throughout camp.
The fire grate has been built up with a lot of rocks, probably to help block the wind. When I visited, a strong southeast wind was blowing directly into the site, but the site was somewhat protected and broke the wind a little, which helped.
There are two good tent pads, though they are not excellent, and you could probably fit a third tent somewhere if needed. The site sits on a peninsula, and out the back of camp you can see the other side of the lake through the trees, though I did not see a path or alternate landing there. The trees around the site include quite a few white pines, a few jack pines, and cedars, so it has a nice Boundary Waters feel. Overall, this site was better than it looked from the water.

Remote lake with almost no traffic, likely due to the long portage to Missionary. Landing is OK with site up a hill. Rocky site so setting up tents (we had 3) required some hunting for places to insert stakes but it worked out just fine. No luck fishing on the lake but then we spotted a small northern pike by the shore, tossed out a lure and it bit.
