The main part of this campsite sits out on an open peninsula, and the kitchen area has almost no shade. If you like setting up tarps around the kitchen, this would not be an easy place to do that because the area is so open. Behind the main site, though, there is a shaded tenting area with a couple of jack pines that provide cover. I found two good tent pads and three maximum tent pads. There also appears to be a trail around the south side of the peninsula, possibly leading to fishing spots, though I did not follow it all the way. There are multiple landing options. I landed on the north side of the peninsula along rock ledges where I could parallel park and pull the canoe up on the rocks. Another landing near the kitchen on the south side has a narrow opening for one canoe and a small rock wedge that works for getting out. Around the rock peninsula there are several places where you could pull a canoe up along sloping rock that is not too steep. Overall, this is a solid, open peninsula site, and how much you like it will depend on whether you want sun and exposure or more shade and shelter.

Decent enough site with a big view. We just stopped in for a snack. There was just so much trash here which we packed out with us.

This was such a nice site that we decided to stay two nights. Landing is narrow, one canoe at a time. Nice shady area for tents. Grate is towards front of site on large rock surface sloping down to lake. Wide open views up and down the lake and across to the sites on the island opposite. Fishing was terrible despite the reeds along the shore. Almost every site on Ensign was taken, couldn't believe this one was still open.

This site has one hell of a view! You have a great rock outcropping to see the entire lake and we saw the northern lights on the northern horizon easily from here. The campsite is actually a smidge to the right of the dot pictured here as it is directly on the adjutting point. You have an island directly east and a good landing around on the south side of the point to access the site. Great campfire area. Good fishing around the island and up and down the shoreline
