I was pleasantly surprised by this site at first, but it does have some downsides. The landing is quite nice compared with many others in the area. I was able to pull up next to a slanted rock, and while it is not perfect, it worked well. The campsite is on an open, brushy peninsula with not many trees in the main camp area.
The fire grate is mostly exposed, and the tent pads are exposed as well. There are two good tent pads in the main site, both level, flat, and grassy. You could probably fit a third tent somewhere if needed. The seating around the fire grate could be better; the log there was partly rotten and rough, not the usual smooth sitting log. This site may work better in cooler weather if you want sun. If it is hot and you are looking for shade, this would not be my first choice.

Great fishing in the shallows. Large and Small mouth were located and caught with a grey flex tube jig right out front of site. Not the greatest site but adequate.

Don't stay here. This site was covered in ticks. Didn't realize until after we had set up camp. Also there are no good trees to hang tarps or hammocks at this site and the surrounding trees don't offer much shade. Wouldn't have stayed here in the first place if we had known better.
