This campsite is on Horseshoe Island and has a small sandy cove for landing the canoe. The landing is pretty easy, and it looked like it could also be a decent place for swimming. The campsite sits low near the water and is not elevated much, but it is screened by cedar trees. Because of that, you get a little bit of lake view while still having a sheltered feel. It would probably be a good site on cold or windy days, and there seemed to be enough breeze moving through to help with bugs. The main site is mostly a flat clearing among cedar trees next to the water, with a small hill behind camp on the way to the latrine. There are three good tent pads, although one is very close to the fire grate. If you plan on having a fire, I would think of it more as two good tent pads, but without a fire you could fit three tents here. This site may also get less motorboat traffic than some others because it is on the west side of Horseshoe Island, while the boats seemed to be using the east side more often.
