This site is tucked back in a small cove, and of the three campsites at this end of Moose Lake, it felt the most sheltered and secluded. You may still hear motor traffic because it is not far from the motor route, but boats do not have much reason to come into this little bay, so you are less likely to have them passing right in front of camp.
The landing is decent, though the water was high when I visited and it was a little hard to find a good place to park the canoe. I was able to pull up next to a rock ledge and get out that way. The lake bottom looked sandy and gravelly, so at lower water levels it might make for a nicer landing.
The kitchen has a pleasant view of the bay and faces away from the main motor traffic. There is one fairly flat, good tent pad, and I saw a few other places back in the woods where people have put tents.
Overall, this is not a flashy campsite, but it is sheltered, usable, and feels a little more tucked away than the neighboring sites.

Relatively private site at end of busy Moose Lake which gets you well off main motor travel route. Landing is in gravel cove behind low rock that is. suitable for alongside or nose-in loading, but only has room to store one canoe on ledge. The clearing is small but pleasant with a nice view down lake that picks up breezes from multi[ple directions. While the kitchen only had one log seating, there are some handy flat rocks to assist the cook. The fire grate is well protected unless wind is from south. The best tent pad is to right, with another in little opening on left. Flat space next to the fireplace could be used if necessary. There is a red pine that offers good pack hanging. The steep trail to the overlook could be dangerous. This compact site is best for a small group that wants to be off the main channel.

We spent one night here, and really didn't have a choice as it was the only open site. Campsite is flat with good enough tent pads and a nice camp kitchen. There's a really cool rock bluff behind the site. Good site.
