This campsite was a pleasant surprise, and I really liked it compared with the other nearby sites. It faces toward the narrows between Moose and Newfound, so you may see traffic, but the motorboats should not come too close because they generally head up the east shore of Newfound while this site is on the west shore. The landing is a nice sand or gravel landing where you can pull right in, making it very easy to land a canoe or boat. The campsite itself is only a few feet above the water and is mostly an open area near shore. There is a very large, flat tenting area that can fit several tents comfortably, with room for a few more if needed. It is a well-used site, and you can see some wear on the trees and surrounding vegetation, but that is common on this route. Even with that use, this is one of the sites in the area that I would actually enjoy staying at.

Entire site slopes toward the water, but we were able to set up 6 tents on relatively flat terrain. The high terrain to the north and west protected us from strong winds due to a passing storm. The panoramic view to the east, south, and southwest allowed for beautiful sunset and sunrise views. The mist in the morning was spiritual. The sounds of the motorboats was somewhat muted by the boundary island forming the half moon bay. It was an easy extraction through Moose Lake in the morning.

Nice open shallow water landing that looks like it would be good for swimming as well. Most of the site is sloped towards the lake but, there are a couple of pretty good (flat) tent pads off to one side. Plenty of mature trees surround camp and should be good for hammocks. Good view of the lake, unfortunately it's right where all the motor traffic funnels between Moose and Newfound. But, I don't think you can realistically expect to escape that if camped on this chain of lakes.
