Amazing beach site with plenty of room for large group. Site has multiple tent pads and hammocking options. Only negatives of the site would be the view from the kitchen is somewhat blocked by a cluster of cedars and you will see a decent amount of traffic pass by throughout the day.

This is a fantastic site with great views of this part of Insula. Landing a canoe is no problem with the sandy beach. The kitchen is protected from any wind by a few red cedar trees. The ample flat tent pads are nicely spread out. Even the toilet is in a nice setting in the woods.

This is a nice beach site with a good view of the sunset. We were passing by and saw it open this day, but we were heading further on. There's plenty of room here for a larger group.

An awesome campsite that was completely ruined for us due to weather. We had heavy rains and high winds most of the time we were here. But this site had some great potential. Lots of sand on the beach, and the water out front is super shallow and very slow slope in the water, you can walk out a long way!

This is a perfect site for a BWCA chill trip. Easy access, great views, spots for hammocks, and barefoot time. The only negative is that it's very shallow around the site. The water was very low in 2021. We could walk almost 50 yards out and it was still only thigh deep. So no BWCA swimming. We LOVED this site!

Beautiful sandy beach with great views across Insula towards the west for sunset. Very long beachfront and water is shallow going out quite a ways. Buggy toward the south end due to swampy area in the woods, but overall not bad. The latrine sits up a pretty good hike up the hill at the north end. If you are wet expect sand to stick to everything.

The most striking feature of this site is the beautiful sandy beach. There are a myriad of possible tent pads throughout the site. However, if you don't like sand, this probably isn't the site for you.
