I stayed here before the poison ivy or bugs got bad. The winds were calm but had they been strong out of anywhere east, north-sh, or south, the site would have been blasted. Absolutely, no good take outs. All that said, I loved the view and saw one of the MOST amazing sunrises I've ever seen in the BW. It's a nice site but it's very particular, only one or two tents, good weather, and early or late season are a must.

So. Much. Poison. Ivy. On the path to the latrine. On the path to the take out. Around the fire grate so that, even though the wind was blowing directly into the site, so I couldn't stand on the "open" side of the grate, there was no where else to be while cooking breakfast. Speaking of the take-out, I would describe it as the worst in the BWCA with big pointy rocks and no good place to leave the boat overnight. The view is the only nice thing about the site. We saw a family of mergansers. Everything else about the site was horrible. 0 stars.

Nice location overlooking wide open LaCroix. I really wanted to stay here but the skeets were as bad as I've ever seen.
