Brought my 8 yo grandson for his first trip. Good choice for allowing swimming w/o worry. Plenty of options for exploring. Firewood picked over pretty good, but we manage a couple of fires for wienies and smores.

Excellent combo of spaciousness and cover. Has a nice rocky "porch" to enjoy sunsets and views of the bay, or distance oneself from the buggier woods. Tent pads are set into the start of the woods, affording shelter from wind. Fire area is fairly well sheltered from most wind directions, with log "bench". Plenty of trees for hanging items/food. 2 canoe landings, both convenient. Some trails lead off into the woods to the east, to fishing spots. Lots of poison ivy when we were here. Low bugs (on a BWCA scale).

I liked this site! It connects to the Kekekabec Trail so you can hike up Dissappoitment Mountain. 2 good landing spots, panoramic view, buggy

Winter campsite visit. Had nice views of the lake. Well situated in the middle of the lake for day trips. I wouldn't hesitate stopping here in the spring/summer/fall.

Decent site with nice fire grate and beautiful view of the bay and island. Easy landing on small beach or rock "pier." Tarp trees are sheltered, so often buggy. No place to hang food. Little firewood in the area.
