The landing at this campsite is a steep bank. On the windy day we were there, the canoes kept getting pushed into and pulled away from shore, which made loading and unloading a bit tricky. That said, the shoreline isn’t very rocky, so it wasn’t too hard on the canoes.
The fire grate area is semi-protected by trees, mostly black spruce and other conifers, which helps break the wind a little. The campsite itself is quite rocky overall.
I found one good tent pad that I’d feel comfortable using. There are a couple of other possible tent spots, but they’re pretty rocky, so I’d really only count on the one good pad.
I didn’t walk it myself, but this campsite connects to the Old Pines Loop, so it could also work as a hiking campsite.
This isn’t a very desirable campsite, especially on Disappointment Lake, which has some better options. However, Disappointment can get very busy, and if everything else is taken, this site would still work in a pinch.

This is one brushy campsite. The kitchen area isn't too bad, but there was some blowdown further back. It ends up being a good thing since the BIFF is pretty close and the trail not far beyond.
