This is an unusual and rarely used site. It is basically a fire grate in a tall grass clearing, with brush, raspberry bushes, and other growth all around. The site is very small, roughly 10 feet wide and 30 feet deep from the lake. The kitchen area is tiny, and there is not much shade. There is a small white pine growing right next to the kitchen, but it is only about 10 feet tall and does not provide meaningful shade. A few taller jack pines along the southeast shoreline might provide some morning shade, but by afternoon the site is likely to be in full sun. I found zero good tent pads and two maximum tent pads, and both possible pads are slanted and lumpy. The tall grass also made me think this could be a bad site for ticks during tick season. The site has been used so little that there is actually a white pine seedling growing in the fire grate. I would avoid this one if I had other options.
