The landing for this site is a smooth rock. It is pretty narrow, but as long as the water is calm, you can parallel park the canoe and get out.
The campsite sits on a four-foot ledge above the landing, so you do have to climb or clamber up a bit to reach the main site. The campsite itself is simple: basically a circular grassy clearing about 40 feet across. There was no log seating around the fire grate when I visited, though a downed birch in camp could probably be turned into seating pretty easily.
I found two good tent pads and four maximum tent pads. The pads are grassy, but the grass grows in clumps, so they may be a little lumpy. That might smooth out with use, but it is something to keep in mind. The trees around camp are mostly spruce, with one red pine and one jack pine mixed in, and it gets brushy behind the campsite. This is a serviceable site, but there are better campsites on Thomas.
