BWCA Campsite 1407 on Kekekabic

We stayed here as a one night layover. It was not our favorite campsite, but adequate for a quick stay. The kitchen was not convenient to the rest of the site since it is raised above the main area, did not have a flat rock next to the fire grate for a stove and the logs were ok, but not great. There was a flat rock outside the kitchen area we used, but it wasn't convenient to the main area. The kitchen area is exposed and does not have decent trees nearby to hang utensils, trash or a tarp. The landing had some big rocks to deal with when unloading, but an ok place for the canoe. The tent pad we used was good and the most level of the trip. The best feature was the latrine; it is in a open glade, decent separation from the main area and lightly used. It might have been better if we had more time to work on placement of packs and create a better working area, but we didn't have the energy or time to do that much.
