This is a beautiful campsite tucked back in a bay, though overall I would call it an average site. The landing is pretty easy, wide enough to parallel park the canoe and unload gear, with only a short climb up to camp. There is also room for canoe storage in a grassy area near the landing. One of the defining features of the site is the large white pine in front of the fire grate.
The campsite itself is set back a little into the woods, with a narrow but decent view of the bay. It feels well protected on three sides. Besides the big white pine near the fire grate, there are a few other white pines around, along with spruce, young jack pines, cedars, and a large mature jack pine down by the landing. The campsite is both rocky and grassy, with uneven ground and rocks throughout much of the site.
There are two grassy, level enough spots that I would call good tent pads, with room for up to four tents total if needed. It is a picturesque site and one I would not hesitate to use if I needed a campsite.

This is a beautiful, secluded campsite in a quiet cove. Good landing. Good layout. There's a small lake behind it that you can hike to, and it's wonderful to hear the loons fly back and forth to it. A stream flows from that lake and contributes to a beautiful mist in the mornings. Birding and other wildlife are excellent. We were enjoying ourselves so much that we were considering staying an additional night; however, we were very loudly approached by a couple from the climbing community at about 7PM on our second evening. They asked when we were leaving, and when we told them we were considering staying, they told us that they would be bringing a large group of people through our campsite the next morning in order to use a climbing area behind it. After they left, we heard them the rest of the evening from across the lake. We're surprised and saddened to find that this is how the climbing community treats the wilderness and the people they encounter there. It’s worth considering if you stay at this site that they’ve decided is only for their climbing community.
