This is kind of a small site in a burn area. I cannot remember exactly when the burn happened, but it may have been around 2012. There are not any large trees, so hanging a food pack could be difficult, but the regrowth is old enough now that there is some shade. Most of the trees are jack pine, which is typical after a fire.
The landing is pretty nice. A couple of rocks create a small protected bay or cove, so even if waves are coming from the north, the canoe has a little protection. It is shallow there and easy to get in and out.
There are two good tent pads, though they are not great. One is in a shaded jack pine clearing, and the other is in a gravel area without much shade and may get muddy at times. The view from the site is pretty nice. A west wind would be somewhat protected, with a slight breeze coming around the point, but an east wind would come directly into camp. Overall, this is a solid, usable site, but it is small and hanging a pack may be a challenge.

This site is a strong 2, but not a terrible site. The landing is good, decent fishing from the site, good swimming area, decent fire grate. This site can be a little wet and swampy, so it can be buggy. I would only consider this site in smaller groups.
