We liked this site better than its specs on paper would indicate, but it did have a few quirks. The fire grate faces parallel to the shore of the point, away from the main part of the lake. I always find it weird when they do this. There is plenty of seating and nearby trees for hanging trash, utensils, dish drying bags, etc. There is only one good tent pad, and one mediocre one, but there is lots of open space for spreading out gear and drying things out. There is good shelter over most of the site, and the vegetation screening the kitchen is easy enough to see through to enjoy a little bit of view. There is a better view closer to the landing. We watched a spectacular sunset there. There are plenty of trees for hanging hammocks, and putting up the food bag was very easy. The climb to the site from the landing is rather rocky, but not too steep. The landing isn't great for swimming, but we made do. The boat had to be hauled partially up the hill for storage. I wouldn't recommend this site for a large group, but it's fine for 2–4 people, especially if they had hammocks. Just like one of the sites on Kekekabic Lake, this one is nice and big, but the individual features don't add up to a higher rating. Everything could just be a little better.

This is the type of campsite I love, so I may be a little biased. It sits on a peninsula with a whole grove of red pines, along with a few white pines and some small spruce. The landing was fairly easy. I was able to pull my canoe in parallel to shore and then pull it up onto a small grassy area. From there, it is a short climb up to the top of the peninsula. The biggest downside is that the peninsula is rocky, with lots of small rocks throughout the site, and that affects the tent pads. The kitchen is on the north side of the peninsula, set a bit off to the side rather than in the middle, and it has a pretty good view. Really, the whole campsite has a good view of the lake. It could get windy here, especially with a west wind, because there is not much of a wind break. There is one good tent pad close to the kitchen, far enough away that I would not worry much about embers, and one okay tent pad a little farther back in a small clearing. You could fit a third small tent in a grassy area on the peninsula, though staking may be difficult. There are not many flat areas on the rounded rocky peninsula, but the red pine grove and lake views made me really like this site.

Decent camp site. Had to pull in here as all the sits on Knife were taken as the evening progressed.
