This campsite sits on top of a hill in a red pine grove, and I really liked the setting. The red pines surround the site, so the view is somewhat blocked, but there are rocks where you can sit and get a more open look at the lake. The trees also help cut the wind a bit while still allowing a breeze to move through the site.
There is plenty of room in the red pine grove, with four good tent pads and eight maximum tent pads. Like many red pine sites, there is very little understory, just lots of pine duff, so the main challenge is finding the level spots. There are enough of them that this would work well for a larger group.
The landing is decent and sits at the bottom of the hill, with canoe storage available near the landing. It is a bit of a climb up to the site, but I thought it was worth it.
There are also plenty of places to string up a tarp or hammock. The only thing keeping it from being absolutely perfect for me is the partially obstructed view, but it is still a really nice campsite.

Camp-sight with a view. Landing and climb to the campsite keeps this rating to a four. Once on top the view and camping area are great.
