8/5/2014 - Very swampy and wet. The landing is poor. The site is covered in knee-high grass, looks like it hasn't been used in some time. The entire site is pretty low and right next to the water. 5/28/2026 - I stopped by to see if things had changed. They have not. Here is an updated description. The landing is a little difficult and kind of narrow. The entire site is low and swampy, with standing water right in camp. The fire grate even has grass growing in it, which shows how little the site is used. It is fairly protected along the shoreline, with spruce, cedars, and a couple of young white pines. There is one possible tent pad, but it is lumpy and uneven, so I would not call it good. This is basically a swampy emergency-type site, and I would not want to plan on staying here unless I had to.
