the island burnt in the pagami creek fire but there are several dozen live trees in and around the campsite. we didn't see a single canoe pass the site. fishing was great around the other islands in that part of the lake. we day hiked down to rock of ages. tons of available firewood on the island. there was only one good place for a bear bag and the tree was past its prime; i'll bring a canister if i ever plan to stay here again.
