I stopped here for lunch on my paddle south the Dunstan Lake. I agree with Vern, and really like this campsite. Nice flat tent spots and a usable fire pit. This area survived the last few forest fires, so many green trees to hang a kitchen tarp from. I did not find any garbage, so this must have been recently cleaned up, or I did not notice it.

Some trash from the 1960's but not terrible. Considering the other options around (i.e., NONE), this was a wonderful place to spend a couple of nights. Simeon Lake is beautiful and absolutely loaded with huge fish including pike and walleye. I have to give this site a 5-star rating to balance out the rather negative review below. :)

Site appears to be primarily used for shore lunches. Lots of trash - primarily discarded cans. However, this is the last viable site on the way to Dunstan/Wanda. l was happy to find it.
