Should have read Matt's comment. We spent a long and very frustrating time looking for a good site on Wanda and I got out of the boat TWICE here looking for any sign of a site because I knew there was one marked. I didn't find ANY sign of a trail leading into the bush or any sign of a fire ring near the water or anything so I guess someone else will have to reconnoiter this so-far mythical site and report back! This issue with a "bush site" is that while it's protected and private, the bugs would be horrible. IMHO the only sites worth staying at have to have an open area near the water for swimming, bug free sitting and open fires when appropriate. But that's just me - I'm a little spoiled. :)

I could not find this campsite when looking for it. But when talking with the Park staff after my trip, I was told it can be found west of the rock outcrop where you think it should be when paddling in from the south. Look for a trail going up into the bush. It is not obvious from the water. I paddled by it not thinking this was it. I was told it is a really nice site?
