I was curious and got out to look around at this campsite on my west. I agree with Vern...decent campsite, but it only has room for one tent and kitchen tarp. If it is free, the much nicer 5 star campsite is about 200 m southeast on the peninsula before the portage to the south.

Stayed here twice on both approach and exit of the Wanipigow River. After cleaning up a site for the tent, this is actually a decent site. Not sure how easy it would be to set up for more tents. It isn't completely burned compared to many other sites in WCPP and was MUCH better than I was hoping for given that Crystal Lake has mostly been torched. We found a protected area to hang the tarp. This is an important site since it's a struggle up the Wanipigow and you're going to want a break at this point of your journey.

stone ring for firepit is only indication of this being a campsite. Very few areas that look level, might find a spot for a small tent. Whole point is burnt out from fire of 2016, no shelter. Good landing area for canoe, good shore for fishing.
