I have paddled by this little island numerous times in the past and never stopped to get out and look around. I finally had time during a late fall day trip into Upper Hatchet Lake to see the Robertson Lake portage, and looked around. I could not see anywhere for a level tent spot, and only a small fire pit down on the rock peninsula. Only a few rocks piled in a circle. Paddle 1 km south along the eastern shore for the only campsite left on this lake that is not burned.

I'll echo what Vern said. It is a small island, and is a gull rookery. Not a place I would like to camp, and the other site on the lake is small, but nice!

I don't think there's room for a campsite on this bare rock island. In any case, it's covered (literally) in gull poo so not ideal!
