We didn't stop here because the sun was totally beating down on the entire site all afternoon long. The take-out was easy enough, so it might be a nice site if arriving at sunset or later, and planning to depart soon after sunrise. It certainly would have nice stargazing and view of the northern lights. The big rock also appeared to be easy for fishing.

This campsite is on a rock bluff overlooking the lake probably 20 feet above the water. Landing is serviceable, somewhat rocky, and in a small cove south of the bluff. Short, somewhat steep climb from the landing up to the site. Striking fire grate placement overlooking the lake. Latrine is on a trail leading south from camp. Be prepared to use some of the plentiful rocks instead of tent stakes to secure your tent in place. Not really suited for hammocks. The overall exposed nature and height of the site means the prevailing west wind keeps all bugs down. A beautiful site I would stay at again.

I did not get to visit since it was taken. The site seemed to be completely a large, granite rock.
