We stayed at this site as the lesser of two evils after a long day of paddling. First, it has one of the best beaches in the BWCAW (the one on the north side of United States Point is better, however). It also has a decent bear-bag-hanging tree just down the beach a little ways. Otherwise, everything else about this site is lacking. The kitchen is cramped with almost no view. There is a single good tent pad (into which we fit 3 tents). The tent pad has good drainage, however, as evidenced by the lack of puddles after getting an inch of rain overnight. The latrine had several pieces of garbage in it (we will be notifying the forest service). If it weren't for the wonderful beach, I'd give it a "2."
