This site has a lot going for it. There are great views from the kitchen. It has good shade except in the afternoon. It has a nice tent pad up a small hill surrounded by a large open white pine grove with many good hammock spots. It has a long-ish walk to the latrine, which has the deepest pit I have ever seen in the BWCAW. And, it has a cool balsam hanging out over the water just begging to be used to jump into the water. It has two take-outs: one rocky (steps), and one protected around the corner. It would be nice if there were a little more shade right over the kitchen, and if there were more tent pads (most of the open space is rocky). It has absolutely no seating around the kitchen, but folks almost certainly bring their own chairs to this site. It's also in a busy motorboat area, so not much privacy.
