This is a nice, large, open site. It has a big log in front of the fire grate for seating. There is lots of shade, but no easy way to hang things on trees, as all of the branches down low have been stripped off. There are three take-outs, with middling swimming. There was poison ivy visible around the edges of the site. It has good hammock spots, but not particularly good views except right at the water's edge, due to undergrowth. The fire grate is still broken, but it is more usable than the one in site 1315 to the northeast, which is just a mess. The entire site is covered with nice, soft pine needles. It could be quite comfortable for a large group looking to get some space from each other for a night, as it basically has separate bedrooms. Clearly well-used.

Two easy, beachy landing spots on the north side of the point, and a open clearing around the firepit with 3 or 4 good pads nearby. Several places to hang a Hammock as well. Nice views, especially around sunrise and sunset.
The site was well used, and the messiest of the sites that we stayed or stopped at, and we had to pack out some trail trash to clean it up. The firepit also had a broken grill at the time. Didn't have any fantastic places to hang a food back, especially if you have a big group.

Great site. Red pines and cedars. Open around the fire pit. Three landings - two gravel landings near the fire grate/tent pad area and then a couple of motorboat tie-ups in the back. It is a long site - the tent pads mostly in a string behind the fire grate. A couple of very large, flat tent pads. Nice view, but it is also protected.
