Great sprawling site. Easy landing on a pebble beach. Bit of a steep hill from the landing up to the site, but manageable. Nice fire pit, but overlooks the bay southwest of the island instead of the open expanse of the lake. Tucked away tent pads in the forest, plus space on the bare rock facing northwest. Ok for hammocks in the wooded area southeast of the fire pit. Ok for swimming. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice site with some rock areas to sit on and watch the world go by. Established hammock sites are down one of the trails.

It is actually a really nice site. That fact was tainted by cut trees and garbage everywhere! Someone else winter camping here before us utterly trashed the site. We also had one of our best experiences listening to two wolf packs howling back and forth. Under the full moon, we then saw two wolves trot out onto the ice and across the lake. It was eerie being so close but also so unique and amazing.

Good landings, nice, level tent pads, open rocks along shore. Nice fire area that's somewhat sheltered.
