This campsite was reported as closed on some maps, but it is definitely still there. The fire grate is hidden behind a large boulder right next to a sloping rock landing, and you won't see it until you're out of the canoe.
The island burned in the Pagami Creek fire, and there is essentially no shade here. Seating around the kitchen is minimal, and there is only one small tent pad. There are no large trees for hammocks, and even the latrine is very exposed due to the lack of vegetation.
It's usable if you're in a pinch, but it offers very little comfort.

The whole island was burned down 10 years ago. There are a few dozen dead standing birch trees, other than that the island is covered with 3-5 foot birch trees. We paddled around the island trying to find the camp site, but there was no distinguishable evidence humans have camped there. The landing where the site should be had a seagull nesting on it and we decided not to land, but at the same time we weren't convinced that was the campsite, it was that overgrown...This doesn't appear to be a functional campsite anymore.

Nice site in a beautiful, quiet section of the lake. Canoe landings are not the best and the tent pads could be better - other than that, a great spot.
