This campsite has a very easy landing on a flat rock, which made getting in and out of the canoe simple. The kitchen area is right on the water, sitting just a foot or two above the lake on a rock ledge.
Most of this end of Gull Lake burned, but a few trees here were spared. There are some jack pines and spruce that make this site nicer than others nearby. The kitchen area is quite exposed to sun and wind, but you can escape that by heading back into the trees.
I found one good tent pad tucked back in a small pine grove. If you were really desperate, you could probably squeeze in a few more tents, but there's really only one spot I'd call good.

I thought this was a nice campsite. Only good for a few people but I loved the kitchen and landing. One good tent pad and you might be able to fit another one back back off the water. Enough trees for a tarp or hammocks. You might be able to stay here a week and not see anyone.

the site is a small grove of maybe a dozen conifer trees that were spared in the fire. great landing. bear bag hung on a branch out over the water, a little more difficult that it needed to be. fire pit is right on the water's edge facing southeast. we didn't fish but saw a number of eater size walleye swimming right along camp at night. not a lot of good shade, but room to hang a tarp and a spot that's likely to see very little traffic. this might normally be a two star site, but it gets an extra star for surviving the fire.
