Pros:
* A beautiful site, full of Red Pine. Many options for hammocking, good options for setting a tarp directly over a slab of rock to keep gear clean and dry.
* The water was very high when we arrived, so not sure what the landing is like in regular conditions but there was a perfect miniature bay to pull into and fairly easily step into camp.
* Fire grate area is excellent. A decent log bench corral and beautiful view of the lake.
* There's plenty of space to do some hiking around the island, including some great lookout rocks.
* One of my favorite views from a latrine in the BWCA!
Cons:
* Lots of downed trees, must have been a pretty big blowdown on that side of the island. Still plenty of tree cover, though.
* We didn't catch any fish from the site, but it's a very short paddle to amazing fishing in Tiger Bay.
* We could hear the occasional speed boat from the Canadian side of LLC.
All in all, one of the best sites in the Boulder Bay/Tiger Bay area (maybe the whole BWCA?!)

This site is my new favorite in the BWCA. Sandy Beach, Rocky Ledge point that the fire pit sits on 20' up. The Rock ledge is only a few feet deep so you can not jump off of it. It's like a red pine park. Lots of hammock options. There is a trail that goes around the island. Rock live well for your fish. A second landing with more rocks to th south of the site. The only thing it lacks is a view of the sunrise. But a quick walk over the hill on the island and you are there for that. ;-)

Possibly my favorite site in the BW. Open pine woods, beaches, great landings & views, good tarping options.

The site has a nice sandy beach. The site faces the southwest.
