BWCA Campsite 1982 on Slim

Small site with a good landing, reasonable tent pads, and trees for hamocks. Reasonably protected from the wind with good swimming just off the landing. We didn't have great luck fishing off of the shore, but otherwise the area around this site is nice.

Decent landing. Great views. The fire grate is close to the water with good seating. New latrine with a lid. Tent spots are fairly limited with some rocks and stumps. For a small group, a pretty nice site. I was solo, and had no problem finding a nice spot for my small tent. Plenty of options for hammocks if that’s your thing.

There are no good tent pads at this site. All of the tent pads are slanted or rocky. Despite that, I had to give it two stars instead of one for all of the other things it has to offer. There is a small sandy area for the landing. The view is very scenic. The site is exposed on a point - can be good or bad depending if you want a breeze or not. The site overall is small, but it has a nice feel.
