This is an okay site, but it is fairly basic. It sits out on a steep rock, and the landing is a shallow rock shelf. The hardest part of the landing is not the water itself, but the steep, slippery rocks leading up from it. The kitchen is out in the open on top of the rock, and there is not much else to the main site. Behind the kitchen is a cedar grove where the tent pads are located. I only found one good tent pad and a few possible maximum spots, so I would call it one good tent pad and three maximum tent pads. It was hard to find level places that were not affected by rocks, roots, or uneven ground. You may see some traffic going by because this is the route through the small channel to the west. The site does have a view across the bay toward Canada, but overall it is a simple, limited campsite.

Tough slippery landing, nice view, no other campsites noise, fine tent pads

This site has a steep, slippery landing, but it's a nice enough site. There's lots of room to sit out on the rocks and enjoy the lake. Some traffic may pass by through the channel, but there was none for us on this trip. This was during a big fire year so the whole border was pretty smoky which made for a lovely sunrise from here.

We stopped at this site to don rain gear/investigate staying due to an approaching thunderstorm. We chose to press on because while the site was OK - it was not great by knife lake standards. Lots of small pine with a few good tent pads. Not a great landing. A slightly below average site.

We liked this site but no were to hang our food / trash bag at night and slipper rocks after the rain, but great view.
