This is another nice campsite in the cluster of sites at the south end of Ester Lake. The landing is pretty good, especially for one canoe. It is a smooth, sloped rock landing, and I was able to pull my canoe alongside, get out, and pull it up without much trouble. It is a little narrow, but it worked well.
From the landing, it is just a few steps up into the site, which sits about five feet above the water. The campsite opens into a fairly large area.
The fire grate has a decent view through a small window toward the cliffs on the west end of Ester. The rest of the campsite is surrounded by trees, mostly spruce and cedar, with cedar along the shoreline, spruce behind the site, and a few birches mixed in.
I found two good tent pads and three maximum tent pads. The two main pads are obvious and well used, and a third tent could go near the fire grate if needed.
There is open space in camp, but not as much tenting space as it first appears because of rock and uneven ground. There are also good hammock trees around the campsite.

We had a great time on the island. We could hear the couple staying at the adjacent site, even though they weren't being loud at all.

Nice elevated site at the north end of the island. Plenty of space. Landing was a little small, but manageable.
Ester is a popular lake so plenty of traffic, but much of it moves on to Hanson. Caught Lake trout in northeastern bay.

Awesome views, and felt pretty private despite the proximity to other sites. Slippery, rocky landing, but beautiful swimming and some good spots for a hammock to see the sunset

Great campsite with an excellent view of cliff face to the north. Decent fishing from camp and great hammock options. I didn't pay attention to tent pads.

Pretty good site but a little tight with 2 tents. The lake is quite beatiful though and this site provides a nice view of a huge rock wall across the water.
We went to a different spot for firewood as it was somewhat scarce on the island.
Fyi...the latrine is not shared with the other island campsite and we could not hear the other group on the island.
