This campsite is very different from the neighboring site in the bay. The other site has the better view, but this one is better if you want protection. It is small and almost entirely surrounded by woods, with only a small window looking out toward an island instead of the broader lake. Because of that, there is not much of a view, but it would be a good place to get out of wind, rain, or storms. The site is narrow and long, running along the top of a small rock face within mature forest. There are large red, white, and jack pines in camp, with pine duff covering much of the ground.
I found one good tent pad and five maximum tent pads. The big difference between those numbers is that most of the possible tent spots are on a slope, so I would not call them good pads. If you are hammock camping, this would be a much stronger site because there are plenty of pine trees spaced well for hammocks.
The landing is a small grassy inlet tucked under jack pine branches, and it is a little hard to spot from the water unless you know the campsite is there. The site sits a bit back from shore and about 10 feet above the water.

Good landing. This site is definitely designed for a small group or solo. Very small tent pads. The good sized Cedar and White Pine in camp boosts the rating to 3.5. Very protected from the wind without much view of lake but with island directly in front there wouldn’t be much of a view anyway. There was only two of us with hammocks on this trip so this camp was great.

Small rough campsite, if the campsite right next door is open, go there or keep moving.
