Decent enough site we decided to zero there and enjoy the sun and swimming. We were planning to get to a site slightly further west, but I started to get a migraine while portaging between Ottertrack and Knife, so we stopped here. The kitchen area is definitely open, but we found a decent tarp area just above the kitchen area (which was needed for the thunder storm that came through). Enjoyed the lakeside tent pad and the scenic hammock spot overlooking the lake. Unfortunately, you do see and hear all the traffic that passes by while traversing Knife.

Sight was not bad in a pinch. Two nice tent pads secluded on a lakeside cliff. Kitchen area was open but limited water views. Landings are rocky. Fishing is solid in the cove immediately south towards the Amoeber lake portage.

I'll agree with the rocky landing and a little bit slippery. You have two options though for the landing. Nice point rock that looks west down Little Knife and East as well. We spent a lot of time sunning on these rocks and swimming off of them. We stayed 2 nights in this site. Needed a rest day after a big first day of paddling the day before.
Main portion of camp is up off the shore in the trees. Cooking area was nice but like I said not a site with water views from the campfire grate. Great views once you get down to the shoreline. Camp extends to East with several other tent sites for smaller tents. One large tent site really level relatively near the fire grate area just a few feet down a trail.
Yes we saw signs of people not knowing what to do with trash last year. I like to pick up any trash I see but last year the amount of tissue paper that was found not in the grumper was challenging. I just don't get it! This trend tended to be in a lot of sites so you almost can't base a review off of trash others have left in a site.
Plenty of spots to hang hammocks and had a very good bear hanging tree. Good spot for Canoes up on shore as well.

Very rocky landing and most of the site proper is boulder strewn. Fire grate is back in the woods and doesn't provide the best views. Best tent pads are also away from main camping area. There are lots of trails and a decent overlook (behind camp) of Knife lake. Looked to have taken a lot of recent abuse.

Good site with large open area. There are some resident least chipmunks that are not shy about looking for handouts. Amazing smallmouth fishing in front of inlet next to portage into Amoeber.

Above average site, I prefer it to the one just East of it. Nice landing and views, decent fishing from camp. Good small tent pads and trees for hammocks, but would be tough with a large tent.

Nice site with a sweet west view of Knife. Great hammock trees. A smidgeon exposed during storms.
