The forest between this campsite and the other, nicer site to the east is open and almost all firewood has been stripped, but there is enough distance between the two sites that each campsite is not visible from the other. There is no real landing for the site. The shoreline is rocky but shallow around the point. Once you unload it is about a 10 foot scramble up the bank to the site. The site is one large, level open area with room for three or more tents and a firepit off on the east side. We stayed here on 8/7/15 in order to get an early start for a paddle back to the US side.
