This campsite does not appear on many physical maps and seems to be a newer site added by the Forest Service. For such a remote location, it is a fairly decent campsite.
The site is surrounded by white pines, cedar trees, and a few jack pines, with pine duff covering the ground. The kitchen has a decent view of the small lake, and seating around the kitchen is adequate.
There are two or three possible tent pads. One obvious pad behind the kitchen along the latrine trail appears to have gone unused for some time, as plants are growing in it. The main negative is the landing. There is essentially no landing to speak of, and I tied my canoe to a log and let it float, as there was no place to pull it up.

We stayed here after some rough portages from Boulder. It was not marked on my MacKenzie map, but was a welcome surprise. The site is very lightly used. the landing is not great... lift canoe a couple feet onto shore. If you stay here, you will have the lake to yourselves.
The site has a certain small-lake charm... maybe I liked it because I was dead tired from portaging and really ready to stop.
