The toilet is the first thing you see walking in, 800 yards later you find the campsite. 800 yards! This is the furthest toilet I've seen in my 25 trips to the BWCA by about 600 yards. Insane. I guess the area is rocky?? The tent places are small, a 2 person barely fits on one, the other "spot" is next to the fire. A poor campsite except for the seclusion it is nice and quiet.

I had my girlfriend's dog for the weekend and decided we both needed some fresh air. We hiked into this campsite for the night. On one side, the site is in a really unique, remote location. It is perched on a long peninsula with a steep descent to the water on three sides. The lake is a very unique shape and there were a few ducks hanging out around the site. It was also obvious that the Brule trail and this campsite do not see that much traffic. From a site quality perspective though, there is one tent pad right next to the fire grate. Because of the peninsula, the site drops off in every direction so there's not room outside of that area. So the site itself is not so great. Neat trail for sure and the solitude is worthwhile.
