There are two group sites here. They are great places to spend the night before heading down the Grand Portage. The tent pads are wooden platforms, raised a foot above the ground. They will fit medium sized tents. There are 3 tent pads in one site, and, I think, 2 in the other site. Great fire grates for cooking food. Good fire pits for burning anything that you don't want to carry down the Grand Portage. Get your rest here, and get your water filters working overtime to hydrate yourself before the long journey on foot. If you are lucky enough to camp here, consider yourself a part of history. Imagine all the Voyageurs and Indians who have camped here throughout the millennia. Of all the Boundary Waters campsites that have hosted visitors for thousands of years, this one may be one of the most camped in spots.
