I rated this a 2-star because my ratings on Trout Lake are relative to the other sites on the lake. This is actually a decent site, but most other sites on the lake are nicer. The landing is a sloped rock. It is exposed to the east, but it is protected from the prevailing west winds. There are red pines and some large white pines. The site itself is small. The tent pads are flat. One of the tent pads is a "honeymoon suite." The hill to the back of the site is quite steep, and you must climb it to get to the latrine.

Nice site in pines. Protected from the west and south winds that can really get going on this lake.
