BWCA Campsite 2313 on Birch

This is a potential camping spot on the south shore of Kettle Lake, and from what I saw, it looked like the most promising place to set up camp. It is clear that people have stayed here before because I found a few pieces of garbage, including candy wrappers and a hair tie. The site is on a mossy rock, and the landing is very easy. You can pull up to the rock, get out, and walk up a slight incline to the top of the moss-covered cliff face. There is room to set up at least a couple of tents if you are not too concerned about level ground, but I found one spot that I would count as a good tent pad. I would call it one good tent pad and three maximum tent pads if needed. The view from the top is great, even with a screen of trees in front of it. There are red pines near the front of camp, along with a few white pines and spruce, so it has some classic Boundary Waters trees around it. Since this is in a Primitive Management Area with no maintained sites, you cannot be too picky, but compared with a typical maintained BWCA campsite, this would still be a very limited site.
