When I visited, there was a NW wind. The rocks in front of the site created a little harbor for me to park. This would work very well with a NW or W wind, not so well if it is a SW wind. The site has a decent view. There is a rock point to sit on or fish. Camp is semi-protected from the wind. It is mostly a red pine grove with a needle carpet.
